Pharmacy Technician Department

Programs Offered
The department offers programs approved and accredited by the Dental Therapists Registration Board of Nigeria (DTRBN).
1. Dental Health Technician (DHT)
- Duration: 3 years
- Entry Requirements:
- 5 credits in WAEC/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- 5 credits in WAEC/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- Program Description:
This program prepares students to assist dental surgeons and therapists in oral health procedures, dental radiography, tooth restoration, scaling and polishing, and oral hygiene education.
Students gain practical skills in dental laboratory techniques, prosthetics, and dental material science.
2. Dental Surgery Technician (DST)
- Duration: 3 years
- Entry Requirements: Same as above.
- Program Description:
This program focuses on training professionals to provide chairside assistance, instrument sterilization, dental record management, and patient care during dental procedures.
Graduates support dental surgeons in hospitals, private clinics, and community health centers.
